What are decorative panels?
Decorative panels are sheets of metal etched to create intricate designs, patterns, or textures for aesthetic purposes. These customized, finely detailed components and surfaces are typically created to suit specific requirements in industries such as automotive, architecture, interior design, jewelry, and more.
Photo etched decorative panels are most precise
Until recently, decorative panels were commonly manufactured using conventional stamping or laser cutting methods. While these methods can handle high-volume production runs, they can degrade the aesthetic properties of panels by introducing burrs, stresses, distortion, and other unwanted deformations.
Our non-contact, non-thermal chemical etching process involves selectively removing material from sheet metal with chemical solutions and UV photoresist. In turn, there’s zero potential for burrs, stress, or warping that can negatively impact the appearance or functionality of decorative panels.
Economical prototyping and tooling
Chemical photo etching replaces expensive hard tooling with low-cost digital tooling, enabling unlimited design flexibility and creations with the most complex geometries at a fixed low cost. Digital tooling enables us to accelerate lead-times throughout the prototype-to-production process.
